This way of understanding the movement of social systems allows to investigate the movements of their alternatives and option.

Globalization and the Problems of National Sovereignty

One of the main causes of globalization is the development of productive forces and means of communication, their internationalization that somehow leads to changes in all other spheres of life also including the political one. As a result the process of state integration increases and there emerges a tendency to restrict and gradually reject some part of national sovereignty in favour of supranational communities and international organizations. However, at the beginning this process also stimulates the growth of nationalism and separatism that is connected with the weakening of a state as a system and with changes in world order.

Does Christianity Have a Future?

A prognosis of the future of Christianity is possible on the basis of extrapolating current trends. The basic features of postmodernism which is practically prevalent all over the world are outlined. The Orthodox church must tackle its disunity, monastic crisis, denigration of women. The Roman Catholic church is expected to deal with the outdated celibacy of priests, papal primacy, demise of most monastic orders. In Protestantism the traditional churches are increasingly losing ground while the Pentecostal churches are broadening their appeal. It is expected that in the 21st century the focus of world Christianity will move from the north to the south and from the west to the east. Dialogue with Islam should be invigorated. If Christianity is to survive the 21st century, it must change.

Is it Possible to Accomplish “the Project of the Enlightenment”?

The need of revival of classical philosophy with its accents on ratio, universality and an openness to Different becomes today more and more actual. The rhetoric of fidelity to values of Enlightenment and sharp opposition of the position to “a postmodernism extending on the world” is present today — directly or indirectly — in many works of philosophers of different schools and currents (from D. Dennett up to J. Habermas).

The present work suggests “new reading” of “the Project of the Enlightenment” through expanded (and creatively rethought) concept of dialogue. In this connection the author examines concept of dialogue in view of a post-non-classical science. It will allow to define, on the one hand, more precise contours of a formed new scientific paradigm, and with another — to reveal deeper sense of the concept the dialogue “missed” through a prism of a post-non-classical science.

Contemporary Problems of Articulation of Thoughts in Language: Culture, Education, Philosophy

The academic rhetoric and logic have the doubles connected to the articulation of the thoughts in the language: “new lively rhetoric” and “informal logic”. Pragmatical questions of the agonal communications have become an advantage compared to fundamental knowledge. This situation is not unequivocal. It seems to be dangerous, but on the other hand it helps to the understanding of the practical questions of logic and rhetoric. The modern logic knowledge turns to the communicative nature of logic. K. Buhlers “scheme of the four fields” is a cause of the dinamical development of such themes and methods: from the analysis of the formal and intersubjective structure of the language to the unity of the methodological questions of the immediate activity.

This problem becomes more and more important in modern societies, which are eager to realize the political power in a democratic way. Of great importance here are the discussions concerning the limits of individual’s freedom in the field of private and political relations — can private and public autonomy coexist and in which way?

J. Habermas has offered on of the most fruitful approaches to this problem. While working out his project of deliberative democracy, he tries to solve the problem in the frame of the political theory and comes to the conclusion about the equipremordiality of private and public autonomy. It seems, J. Habermas solves the problem as it was considered before, but, for example, the position of multiculturalism discovers some aspects of this problem that J. Habermas hadn’t notice. So, universality of habermasian approach is under the question.
